──
If you are not recovering from an injury or from a medical procedure, but you notice that you've started to lose muscle tone, range of motion, or are losing your balance too often, I can help. With a unique combination of physical therapy knowledge and my certification as a personal trainer, I can help you learn how to:
Whatever your reasons, I am here to guide you to an exercise program you'll love and will support you through every step and goal along the way.
- Improve cardiovascular health. Keeping your blood pumping is literally at the heart of any good physical fitness program. I can help you with exercises to maintain and improve heart health.
- Improve balance. In 2016 alone, the Center for Disease Control in the US reported 29,668 deaths from falls in those aged 65 and above (Source). I can teach you a number of balance exercises that are key to keeping you on your feet and out of the hospital.
- Build muscle mass. Your body begins losing important muscle mass as early as age 35. By the time you are 75, you will have lost 50% of your skeletal muscle mass (the muscles responsible for most basic movement), and your lean body mass (all other muscles in your body) declines at the same time. (Source ) By working with me on simple strength training, you can learn how to maintain or increase your muscle mass, leading to a healthier, more independent life in your later years.
Whatever your reasons, I am here to guide you to an exercise program you'll love and will support you through every step and goal along the way.
